A Night not to miss, supporting 'Climbers Agaisnt Cancer' with a charity raffle, Dj's, and Climbing competition.
The annual Lights Out! Charity Climbing Party at Sport Lancaster’s Climbing Wall returns on Friday 6 December, between 4.30-10pm, raising funds for Climbers Against Cancer (CAC).
Event timings
• Early session: 4.30-7pm (28 places) 7-9 years: 5.30-6.30pm (6 places)
10-13 years: 5-6.30pm (6 Places)
• Late session: 7-9.30pm (40 Places)
• Raffle draw: 9.30-10pm
Climbing Competition
The boulder cave will be freshly set for the event. There will be a bouldering competition for both children and adults during the evening with prizes up for grabs for the winners, including:
- The children's competitions will take place during the early session, with 1st & 2nd Place prizes both Boys and Girls.
- The adult male and female competitions take place during the early & late session, and prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Provided for by 'Rock+Run'UV
Taped Roped Routes
The usual lighting in the Climbing Wall will be turned off and replaced with colourful lights and lasers, and, especially for the occasion, there will be UV-taped lead and top rope routes.
Climbing in your Head Torch
As the lights will be out, please feel free to bring your own head torch or you can borrow one supplied by Petzl Official.
Charity Raffle
Purchase a strip of 5 tickets for £5 and be in the chance of winning prizes, all funds will be donated to CAC. A donation link will be sent to registrants ahead of the event for any early purchases of raffle tickets. Alternatively, registrants can donate cash on the night.
DJs
A DJ will be playing the duration of the event to soundtrack your climb.
Climbers Against Cancer Stall
Support the charity during the event by purchasing clothes and merchandise from their stall.
How to book
This event is open to registered climbers or beginners who are supervised by a registered climber. Children can be as young as 6 to climb, but will need to be accompanied by a registered adult. The Childrens instructed sessions can only be attended by those who are aged 7+. Climbers are classified as adults over the age of 16. Booking is first come first served with a limited capacity of 40 spaces for each Climbing session. Please be sure to specify which session you would like to attend.
