History

A tour of Viking-Age sites in Lancashire and Cumbria, all-inclusive. Arrive 29th July, depart 1 August.

This tour follows on from the 19th Viking Congress held at Liverpool University. It begins with transport from Liverpool to Lancaster (via Heysham) on 29th July, and includes visits to sites in West Cumbria and Carlisle. 30th July and 31st July will be very full days away from campus, with all entrance fees and meals included.

Important note: this tour is only open to those who are presenting papers or posters at the congress.

Also please note that there will be a priority booking period for those based outside the UK from 1st February until 28th February 2022. After that bookings will be open to all who are eligible to attend.

The deposit is non-refundable. The balance must be paid 3 months in advance of the tour.

The 26th Lancaster Historical Postgraduate Conference 'Histfest' will be held on Monday 27th to Tuesday 28th of June in Lancaster University's Management School.
