XVth UK Archaeal Workshop, Lancaster University

Description

Genetics Society Sponsored XVth Archaeal Workshop – 11/12.01.2018

The archaeal community in the UK has been served by the ‘Annual UK Workshop on Archaea’ since 2012. It is held at a different venue each year, these have been in Bath, Nottingham , St Andrews, Cambridge, Newcastle, York, Nottingham, Birmingham, London and most recently in Bristol. The same format has been maintained over the years: an afternoon of talks by PhD students and young postdocs, a poster session with drinks, a conference dinner, and a morning of talks (again by PhD students and postdocs). Since 2007 the UK Archaea workshop has been generously supported by the Genetics Society and is officially the annual meeting of the Archaeal Sectional Interest Group of the Genetics Society.

Please also select the on-campus accommodation and conference dinner options as required in addition to your registration fee.

(buffet lunches on Thursday and Friday are included in the registration fee and breakfast is included with the on-campus accommodation option)

If you need to add more to basket, please continue shopping and navigate back to this product by using the seach box and enter "Archaeal"

Psychological skills for aspiring clinical psychologists

Psychological skills for aspiring clinical psychologists

Description

In this two day course we aim to provide an excellent foundation in clinical psychology principles and skills, for graduates aiming to pursue this career path. We cover core elements of psychological work, relevant to people starting out or with some experience.

The course would suit any psychology graduate with an interest in pursuing a career in clinical psychology, looking to develop confidence, understanding and skills relevant to the profession. It aims to provide a broad and practical foundation for ongoing training and experience, not relating to any specific therapeutic model or clinical presentation/setting.

While the concepts form the foundations of the profession, and are accessible to people with limited experience, we have found that they do remain relevant and challenging even after qualification. See http://psytraining.co.uk/psyskills for a full course description.
