This study day is part of the Heritage Lottery Fund-supported Project LEAP! which is focused on the visit of James VI and I to Hoghton Tower in August 1617.

Date: Friday 5 May 2017 Time: 10.00-16.00

The Regional Heritage Centre is bringing together a range of expert speakers who will explore many aspects of the royal visit, in an accessible and engaging way. Speakers: Dr Liz Oakley-Brown (Lancaster University), Professor Tracey Hill (Bath Spa University), Ivan Day (Independent Food Historian), Professor James Loxley (University of Edinburgh), Stephen Poleon (Lancaster University). A subsidised enrolment fee is offered for this event thanks to the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund.
